We began making handmade peppermint patties in 1985, and what started as a holiday tradition quickly became our favorite way to share a little sweetness with family and friends. Over the years, we refined our recipe, finding the perfect balance of peppermint and chocolate and learning the art of tempering chocolate along the way.

Forty years later, that recipe has become the Schmint you know today: four simple ingredients, dipped in fine couverture chocolate and made by hand in small batches.

In 2024, we took a leap and turned our family tradition into a business. We're so excited to share Schmints beyond our own kitchen - and bring a little bit of our family tradition to yours.
